SENIORS’ WEEK Seniors’ Week celebrates seniors and their many contributions and provides an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the integral part seniors play in communities across BC. FATHER’S DAY FISH RELEASE Maple Ridge Park 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Join the Alouette River Management Society & Maple Ridge Adopt-a-Stream Program in releasing 5000 Chinook salmon fry into the South Alouette River. This is a FREE event where you can learn about the pacific salmon life cycle and other wildlife in the Alouette watershed. Bring the whole family as everyone is welcome to participate. NATIONAL ABORIGINAL DAY CELEBRATION Memorial Peace Park, Maple Ridge 10:00 AM-2:00 PM In recognition of National Aboriginal Day on June 21, this event features the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of our First Nations, Inuit and Métis people. Traditional dance, music and ceremonial blessings, a Bannock cook-off, a Farmers’ Market, community displays, Indigenous games, crafts and interactive activities bring people of all ages together for an exciting community gathering.
